Illness Policy

If the client is waiting to receive a COVID-19 test result, or received a positive COVID-19 test result, their appointment will be canceled. The client may return to services after 5 days of quarantine and should wear a mask if able.

In addition, we request that you cancel the client’s appointment if they suffer from any of the conditions listed below. If the client displays any of these symptoms and still comes for services, Leg Up Farm’s staff has the right to send the client home.

• Fever of 100 degrees or higher during the past 24 hours

• Vomiting or diarrhea during the past 24 hours

• Symptoms of unusual disease such as scarlet fever, German measles, mumps, chicken pox, etc.

• Severe respiratory infections; including colored nasal secretions, difficulty breathing, and sore throats

• Unexplained rash or spots, including skin irritations such as boils, ringworm, or impetigo

• Pink eye or other eye infections

• Infestations such as lice

• Unusual behavior that may indicate the onset of illness, such as extreme discomfort, irritability, or listlessness
