New Clients
Clients may be referred to Leg Up Farm by healthcare professionals, hospitals, teachers, community agencies, or family members. After a referral is received, the team creates a detailed profile and conducts a comprehensive assessment to identify each client’s strengths and needs, then schedules therapy sessions once caregivers approve the recommended Intervention Plan. Leg Up Farm accepts most commercial insurance plans as well as several Medicaid options—including AmeriHealth Caritas, Geisinger, UPMC For You, and Highmark Wholecare (Gateway)—and offers financial assistance for equine services, which are not covered by insurance.
